Prayers are pouring in for NFL star Lamar Jackson on Wednesday.

The 28-year-old two-time NFL MVP has had an up-and-down 2025 season. Jackson, one of the best quarterbacks in the league, has played in just 11 of his team’s 14 regular season games, due to injury. The former Louisville Cardinals star and Heisman Trophy winner is now dealing with an illness.

Jackson was sent home on Wednesday, as he deals with an illness. Hopefully, it’s nothing too serious and he’ll be back on the field soon. But Jackson has dealt with flu and cold problems in the past.

John Harbaugh announced the update for Jackson on Wednesday afternoon.

“Lamar had an illness. He was kept home with a ‘flu’ [like] deal. The [doctor] kept him home today away from the guys,”  he said.

The flu can be serious in some cases, though for an NFL player, you have to hope that it’ll only be a one or two-day deal.
