Just when it looked like Nick Wright might be coming around on the Denver Broncos, he doubled down.
This offseason, Wright predicted the Broncos would finish in last place in the AFC West. Denver has since clinched a playoff spot, and they could clinch a division title this weekend.

More recently, Wright guaranteed the Kansas City Chiefs would beat the Broncos in Week 11 (Wright ate humble pie after Denver won that game). The Broncos are now 12-2 and quarterback Bo Nix is playing the best football of his career.
“Bo Nix turning into a legit franchise quarterback — I might have to create a new category on how wrong that would make me,” Wright said on a recent episode of his podcast. However, Wright’s still not a Boliever just yet.
“I still have a hard time believing that’s actually going to happen,” Wright said. “But I can’t pretend like that Packers game didn’t happen. Now, do I think this Broncos season ends potentially prematurely in a home playoff game because Nix plays poorly? Yeah, I do. But we’ll see.”
Denver has repeatedly proven Wright wrong this season, so if his latest prediction turns into yet another reverse-jinx, Broncos fans will be delighted. After clinching a postseason berth, Denver will now attempt to clinch the AFC West and the No. 1 seed in the conference as early as this weekend.
