Jacksonville Jaguars’ defensive end Josh Hines-Allen was back on the practice field on Thursday, according to several media members in attendance.
Hines-Allen was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday due to an illness and a shoulder injury.
The Jaguars‘ official Thursday injury report will be out later this afternoon, at which point we will find out if Hines-Allen was a limited or full participant.
Jaguars’ DE Josh Hines-Allen returns to practice
Entering Week 16, Hines-Allen has been one of the most disruptive pass rushers in the NFL. He has generated the fourth-most quarterback pressures among his position group across the NFL.
That production has been a product of Hines-Allen’s ability to win his matchups quickly. He ranks tied for eighth in PFF’s pass rush productivity metric.
Not to be overlooked either are Hines-Allen’s contributions in the run game. He has logged the 14th-most run defense tackles at his position group as well.
The Jaguars face the 12-2 Broncos this week. Pressuring quarterback Bo Nix is one thing, but bringing him down is another challenge. Nix’s ability to avoid sacks and extend plays has been impressive.
