The Iowa Western Revier football team won their fourth national title this week, defeating Hutchinson Community College 28-10 in the 2025 NJCAA Division I National Championship Game at Bain-Schaeffer Buffalo Stadium in Canyon, Texas.

Based in Council Bluffs, the Iowa Western football team contains 10 Nebraskans, including former Kearney High three sport standout Jake Kracl.

Earning the starting punter position for the Reviers, Kracl has averaged just over 40 yards a punt this season, with 27 of them landing inside the 20 yard line. In Wednesday’s championship game, Kracl had 7 punts for 247 yards, with two of them landing inside the Blue Dragon 20 yard line. Hutchinson’s punt returner Kordell Goludsby was stifled however, only able to return two punts for 12 yards in the championship game.

The title game caps a successful freshman campaign for Kracl, who earned the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference’s first-team punter nomination, alongside the ICCAC’s Special Teams Athlete of the Week honor four times this season. He also earned the NJCAA’s Special Teams Player of the Week honor twice this season.
