Back on the practice field on Thursday for the Indianapolis Colts was quarterback Anthony Richardson.
Richardson was placed on injured reserve on Oct. 12th due to an orbital fracture that he sustained during a pre-game warmup when a stretch band snapped and impacted Richardson around the eye.

Now on the practice field, Richardson’s return on Thursday opened a 21-day window for him to be added back to the 53-man roster.
“He still has some vision limitations in his [right] eye,” Shane Steichen said via ESPN. “So we’re going to get him back on the practice field, get him throwing, doing some scout-team reps. It’s just something that’s he’s going to have to manage through the process.”
Whether or not Richardson gets added back to the 53-man roster at any point, let alone plays, is an unknown that still remains at this time.
Steichen has already said that Phillip Rivers remains the starting quarterback right now.

Steichen added that Richardson will be inactive for Monday Night’s game against San Francisco.
After missing over two months with the injury, in the early stages of Richardson’s return, it is about getting him reacclimated.
Richardson was officially listed as a limited participant on the Thursday injury report.
“It’s good to get him back out there,” Steichen said.
