Bijan Robinson leads the NFL in scrimmage yards. The Cardinals struggle against running backs.

The Arizona Cardinals will take on the Atlanta Falcons this Sunday in their home finale. Kickoff from State Farm Stadium is at 4:05 p.m. ET. They have lost six straight games and 11 of their last 12.

While the Falcons at 5-9 have plenty of struggles, they do have a player that will be a massive challenge for the Cardinals.

They have running back Bijan Robinson.

Robinson leads the NFL with 1,858 yards from scrimmage. He is fourth in the NFL with 1,174 rushing yards, averaging 5.0 yards per carry. He is a receiving threat, too, with 64 receptions for 684 yards.

Can the Cardinals slow Bijan Robinson?

The Cardinals have struggled against running backs in recent weeks. During their six-game skid, opponents are averaging 152.3 rushing yards per game.

Last week, in his NFL debut and after getting elevated from the practice squad, Houston Texans running back Jawhar Jordan rushed for 101.

The numbers have been bad.

In Week 14, the Cardinals allowed a combined 212 rushing yards and three touchdowns to Blake Corum (128 yards) and Kyren Williams (84 yards).

In Week 13, in the first game back for Bucs running back Bucky Irving, he had 81 total yards and a touchdown.

In Week 12, Jaguars running back Travis Etienne had 116 total yards and a touchown.

In Week 11, 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey had 121 total yards and three touchdowns.

In Week 10, Seattle running backs Zach Charbonnet, Ken Walker and George Halani combined for 181 rushing yards and two scores.

It doesn’t look good for Sunday.
