Myles Garrett has an opportunity to make give a lost season some tangible meaning when the Buffalo Bills come to town in Week 16.
With a single sack, Garrett will tie the league’s single-season sack record of 22.5, shared by Hall of Famer Michael Strahan and Pittsburgh Steelers DE T.J. Watt. Anything more than that would make him the single-season sack king.

Getting there, however, won’t be easy when the quarterback he’s looking to chase down is reigning MVP Josh Allen. His dual-threat prowess is well-documented, and in many respects, his heroics are at the heart of why the Bills are 10-4 this season. He’s special, which is why Garrett expressed this week that getting the record against one of the game’s best QBs would be an honor.
Containing Allen would also go a long way in limiting a Bills offense that averages 29.4 points per game, as well, granted, that’s much easier said than done. Allen is one half of Buffalo’s two-headed rushing threat along with running back James Cook, who is second in the NFL in rushing this season. Overall, Buffalo boasts the No. 1 rushing offense in football.
Conversely, their run defense has been a problem, where they’re 143 yards per game allowed ranks 30th overall. That could present a timely opportunity for the Browns to get their run game right with Quinshon Judkins, who in recent weeks has averaged under three yards per carry.
Something’s gotta give there. Outdeuling the reigning MVP would certainly go a long way in helping Sheduer Sanders convince the Browns he can be their franchise QB beyond this season, granted it’s easier said than done.

Here are our predictions for Week 16:
Will Browns SPLIT Head Coach & GM!? | Myles Chases Record | Bills & Browns… Not So Different
Anthony Moelgin’s Prediction
The bummer is that this game could be so much fun. In an alternate universe, this is a matchup between two teams fighting for a playoff spot with Josh Allen chasing the MVP and Myles Garrett chasing the sack record. Instead, in reality, it’s a Cleveland Browns team that is limping to the finish line and a Bills team with their eyes on the Super Bowl.

This game is going to be an exact reflection of that. The Bills are trying to chase down the AFC East crown and what we saw from the Browns last week was incredibly discouraging. Meanwhile, with the Patriots not playing till Sunday Night, this is a HUGE game for Buffalo.
Usually, the Browns tend to keep the game close early on and then the opponent pulls away. This won’t be the case on Sunday.I see the Bills getting out to a fast start and pouring it on late. They are going to have their way on the Browns on both sides of the football and this will be yet another regrettable day for Cleveland Browns fans.
Bills 41, Browns 16
Spencer German’s Prediction
What’s so interesting about a Browns and Bills matchup in 2025, is that not so long ago looked like these two dilapidated franchises had finally graduated from being the butt of all the football world jokes with the way they had built their rosters. But here they are in very different places eight years or so later.

That all revolves around their respective quarterback situations. The Bills found their franchise guy. The Browns tried, failed and are still searching. And so they collide in Week 16 as a team with Super Bowl aspirations and a team contemplating serious organizational changes in three weeks.
It goes without saying that Allen will be the key in this game. His dual-threat ability is a real weapon for their offense and if he and Cook can have similar success against the Browns defense that the Bears and Titans did running the football, it’s going to be a long day. Ultimately, I think this game comes down to which team runs the football better and Cleveland may actually have a chance to against one of the worst rushing defenses in football.
We’re going to see history on Sunday, not because the Browns will pull off an unexpected upset over the Buffalo Bills, but because Myles Garrett will break the single-season sack record. That’s about all that will go right at Huntington Bank Field in Week 16.
Bill 31, Browns 10
