With injuries beginning to pile up ahead of the Week 16 matchup against the Detroit Lions, the Pittsburgh Steelers received some good news for a change.
On Saturday, Steelers Senior Director of Communications Burt Lautner reported that LS Christian Kuntz, who was questionable to play in Week 16 with a knee injury, has been upgraded to healthy for Sunday’s matchup against Detroit.
Absent from Wednesday’s injury report, Kuntz popped up on Thursday with a knee designation, where he was limited in practice to finish out the week.
The Steelers signed former Pitt LS Cal Adomitis to their practice squad as collateral, but Kuntz will be available for Pittsburgh’s special teams.
Fans can tune into the Week 16 action between the Steelers and the Lions this Sunday at 4:25 p.m. EST, in what’s shaping up to be an exciting road matchup for the Black and Gold.
