The Miami Dolphins offered the Cincinnati Bengals four first-round picks in exchange for the No. 1 selection and the ability to draft quarterback Joe Burrow before the 2020 NFL draft, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.

Schefter added that “the Bengals declined to even engage in discussions and shut down the trade inquiry before it could gain any traction.”

Quinn Ewers, a seventh-round pick of the Dolphins out of Texas in the 2025 NFL draft, is set to make his first NFL start for Miami against the Bengals in NFL Week 16 at Hard Rock Stadium.

Miami benched starter Tua Tagovailoa in favor of Ewers for the Week 16 game. The Dolphins selected Tagovailoa four picks after the Bengals took Burrow in the 2020 NFL draft.
