MIAMI GARDENS — Miami Dolphins linebacker Jordyn Brooks is officially available after entering Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals questionable.

Brooks had ankle and knee injuries surface at the end of Monday night’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. After missing Thursday’s practice, Brooks had a limited session Friday after which he said he expected to play.

Brooks has his NFL lead in tackles (155), six ahead of the Raiders’ Devin White, on the line in Sunday’s game at Hard Rock Stadium.

As Brooks was not among Miami inactives announced 90 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. kickoff, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was, officially, as coach Mike McDaniel said would be the case this week after his benching in favor of rookie Quinn Ewers. Zach Wilson is Ewers’ backup, and Tagovailoa is available as the emergency third quarterback.

Also a healthy inactive for the Dolphins on Sunday for the first time was wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. His playing time could have compensatory pick implications for Miami’s offseason.

Cornerback Isaiah Johnson (knee) was ruled out after entering Sunday questionable. Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (calf) was already ruled out earlier in the week.

The Dolphins also had tackle Kendall Lamm, wide receiver Tahj Washington and defensive tackle Matthew Butler inactive.

For the Bengals, wide receiver Tee Higgins was active after he cleared concussion protocol ahead of Sunday’s game.
