Amon-Ra St. Brown talks Detroit Lions international game, Germany
Amon-Ra St. Brown said his mom, who is from Leverkusen, Germany, would request “50 or 60” tickets if the Detroit Lions played in Germany in 2026.
The Detroit Lions game today is their final regular-season home game of 2025, as they hope to boost their odds of an NFL playoff appearance.
The Lions (8-6, third in NFC North) are playing quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers (8-6, first in AFC North) on Sunday, Dec. 21, at Ford Field in Detroit. The Lions game start time is 4:25 p.m. ET, and will be televised on CBS and streaming on Fubo and Paramount+.
The Steelers enter today with a 61% chance of making the playoffs, according to NFL Next Gen Stats.
The Lions enter today with a 30% chance of making the playoffs.
While a loss to Pittsburgh won’t eliminate the Lions from playoff contention, Detroit needs a win to maintain a realistic shot at the playoffs with both the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears maintaining firm leads in the playoff chase. But even a win won’t put the Lions in a comfortable position, as they will still need help from other NFC opponents to make the playoffs regardless of the outcome of their next three games.
The Steelers, meanwhile, are also in a playoff chase despite currently standing in first place in the AFC North. A win would boost their odds to 78%, but a loss coupled with a Baltimore Ravens win would create a tie in the AFC North (with the Steelers owning the tiebreaker), setting up a potential win-or-go-home game against the Ravens in Week 18.
