There are no contractual ties between the New Orleans Saints and two of the most popular and productive players in franchise history beyond the 2025 season, which has road games remaining against Tennessee and Atlanta.

The family and friends of edge rusher Cameron Jordan, a 15-year veteran, and jack-of-all-trades player Taysom Hill, who’s completing his ninth season, made sure to be on hand for Sunday’s regular-season home finale in the Caesars Superdome.

But if the Saints’ 29-6 victory over the New York Jets was last call for each, it was a memorable performance in the third consecutive victory for New Orleans (5-10), the first time that has been accomplished since Weeks 15-17 of the 2022 season.

Jordan had two of the Saints’ eight sacks, raising his season total to a team-leading 8.5 and his franchise-best career total to 130, to go along with three tackles for loss, two quarterback hits and four tackles.

Hill threw a 38-yard touchdown pass, led the team with 12 carries for 42 rushing yards, caught four passes for 36 yards and became the only player in the Super Bowl era to total 1,000 yards rushing (2,545), passing (2,388) and receiving (1,002).

Neither knows how the future will unfold, but each wants the unfolding to occur in New Orleans.

“I can tell you, I have so much love for the city of New Orleans and this fan base and the way that they’ve embraced me and my family,” Hill said. “It’s been really special. I wouldn’t want to play somewhere else, but there’s a lot of circumstances that are out of your control. And I understand the nature of this business. I’m not thinking that way right now, but we’ll tackle that when we get there.”

“I’ve never seen myself not being in Black and Gold,” Jordan said. “I’ve stated, since (former Saints coach) Sean Payton and (Executive Vice President/General Manager) Mickey (Loomis) called me on draft night (in 2011), I said, ‘All right, let’s do this.’ When I say, ‘Let’s do it,’ I mean do it together. So, 15 years later, I still say, ‘Let’s do this.’ I see a bright future with all the guys that we have.”
