KC Concepcion is a versatile receiver who can create explosive plays offensively and be productive in the short, intermediate, and deep portions of the field.

Strengths:

Elusiveness: Concepcion has the athletic ability to make defenders miss in space and pick up extra yardage.  

Competitive: Concepcion is a tough, gritty competitor who fights for the football in contested catch situations and will also fight for extra yards once he has the football.

Strong Hands: Concepcion has proven that he can consistently make difficult catches, whether that’s in contested catch situations or in situations where he has to extend his hands away from his frame and come down with the football. 

Concerns:

Size: Conception appears to be limited in size, which could prevent him from playing multiple different roles within an offense consistently. 

Role: Concepcion’s skill set may place him in a position where he has to be a role-specific player for an NFL offense in certain schemes.

KC Concepcion is a true junior wide receiver for Texas A&M who originally started his career at North Carolina State. Concepcion, being one of the most productive receivers in the ACC since his freshman year (2023), transferred to Texas A&M. Throughout his career, Concepcion has built a reputation for himself as an electric playmaker who creates explosive plays offensively and on special teams as a returner.

Concepcion is a nuanced and versatile wideout who brings a veteran approach to his route running on every rep. Concepcion has a diverse release package that he tailors to the defensive look he receives and adjusts his approach accordingly. Concepcion has the IQ and athleticism to win against both man and zone coverage. Once into his route, Concepcion understands the importance of mixing tempos, which allows him to create separation. Concepcion is excellent at accelerating and decelerating to create separation at the top of his route and give the quarterback an opportunity to deliver the football.

One of the most impressive parts of Concepcion’s game is his ability to make difficult catches in traffic. Concepcion displays great focus and concentration to secure the ball even when defenders are draped on him. He also does a high-level job of going vertical, adjusting his body, and high-pointing the football to bring it in. Concepcion has an element of being a reliable playmaker and a player who will go up and attack the 50/50 ball. After the catch, Concepcion has an element of elusiveness to his game, allowing him to make defenders miss in space and continue to pick up yardage.

Concepcion can also be utilized as an offensive weapon in a variety of ways, including going in motion, receiving jet sweep handoffs, catching screen passes, or lining up in the backfield to carry the football. Overall, Concepcion is a versatile, dynamic playmaker who can win at all three levels.

The biggest area of concern for Concepcion is his size and ability to play consistently as an outside receiver. Concepcion appears to be limited in size, which could prevent him from playing on the outside as an X receiver in NFL offenses on a consistent basis.
