This has been a rocky season. Another forgettable chapter in a long run of forgettable seasons for the Atlanta Falcons.
But this win felt good.
Not because it nudged the first-round pick owed to the Los Angeles Rams back out of the top ten, at least for now. Not because wins are hard to come by in the NFL — a reality this franchise finds new ways to remind its fans of every single week. And certainly not because a late-season stack of victories might buy this coaching staff another shot at things come 2027.

No, this win felt good because Bijan Robinson had the game of his life just two hours from his hometown of Tucson, Arizona.
The Falcons’ borderline All-Pro running back cemented himself as one of the most electric, exhilarating, must-watch players this franchise has ever had — doing it in his home state, on a national stage, with everything finally clicking at once.
Nobody deserves the spotlight more than Robinson does. And in this highlight reel — damn it — we’re giving it to him.
Bijan wills the Falcons into the end zone in just three plays
Step one: Give Bijan the ball through the air and let him make a man miss for 41 yards.

Step two: Give Bijan the ball on the ground and let him barrel through three grown men on the way to a new set of downs.
Step three: Give Bijan the ball in open space and simply let him outrun the Cardinals defense for a 13-yard touchdown.
Any questions?
Kyle Pitts continues insane stretch with another TD
Kyle Pitts, fresh off a historic performance on Thursday, followed it up with yet another touchdown, his fourth in two weeks.
The only other Falcons tight end to have four receiving touchdowns in two weeks?
Alge Crumpler in 2006.
Bijan Robinson joins Falcons legends as he hits 2K scrimmage yards
Mr. Robinson has joined a coveted group of Falcons elite running backs as he surpassed 2,000 scrimmage yards in a single season. The only other Falcons to do it: William Andrews in 1981 and 1983, and Jamal Anderson in 1998.
Since 2020, only six players have been able to surpass 2,000 scrimmage yards:

Kirk Cousins does it himself to put Falcons up two scores
After a Bijan Robinson 29-yard burst put the Falcons on the doorstep of scoring again, Atlanta was looking for any way possible to get into the end zone. Even going so far as to attempt to get ‘The Ironman’ Jake Matthews a chance to get his first receiving touchdown of his career. So, instead, Kirk Cousins found his way into the end zone from a yard out.
It’s not the same, but Pearce, Jr. did get on the board again
A half-sack doesn’t feel the same, but Pearce didn’t have a full donut on the board at the end of this one, getting a half-sack alongside interior wrecking ball, Brandon Dorlus. That half-sack does technically put him ahead of Micah Parsons’ 2021 rookie season with a seven-game streak of having something on the board in the sack column.
But he does join rarified air in the sense that the only players since 1995 to have 8 sacks in the matter of 7 games during their rookie season:

C.J. Henderson calls game with game-sealing interception
There’s always that feeling when a team has the ball late against the Falcons that they will just find a way into the end zone and ruin what was once a fun Sunday for Atlanta fans. Instead, C.J. Henderson beats wide receiver Michael Wilson to the spot on the sideline to seal this game for the Falcons. Moving them to 6-9 on the season.
