The New York Giants‘ offense is on rocky footing. Many people are doubting the direction of the offense’s young core and even the future of rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart with the team.
As ridiculous as that sounds, the haters are starting to reveal themselves. On Monday, interim head coach Mike Kafka emphatically stated that he’s sticking behind Dart as the starter. He also received a significant endorsement from his best receiver, Wan’Dale Robinson.
“I’ve got all the confidence in the world in Jaxson,” Robinson told reporters. “He prepares really, really hard, and it was just kind of hard to get into the flow of the game for him just because we were able to run the ball so well. So, it was hard to just get away from it. But like I said, I’ve got all the confidence in the world in him, and he’s going to do everything that he can to prepare and make sure that he’s ready for Sunday.”
Wan’Dale Robinson backs Jaxson Dart
Understandably, Dart’s performance since returning from a concussion has been concerning. Since firing head coach Brian Daboll, Dart is averaging 139.3 passing yards per game, one touchdown, and 30 rushing yards. The drop-off has been steep, but there are many layers to the stats—especially teammates dropping catchable passes and an overcommitment to running the ball.
On Monday, Robinson spoke on the value of having an established starter of the future in Dart.
“Last year not really knowing who was going to start week to week. Now you kind of have that solidified starter in Jaxson and just want to continue to help him develop and go out there and get a win under his belt,” Robinson stated, “That hasn’t happened in quite some weeks, so just doing everything that we can to just go out there and win.”

This recent narrative that has been bubbling that the Giants should consider trading Dart and picking a quarterback in the 2026 NFL Draft is ridiculous. Rookie quarterbacks are going to struggle. They’re mainly going to struggle with an awful coaching staff and a lack of weapons. Drake Maye and Caleb Williams had brutal games last year, and now they’re leading their teams to the playoffs.
Thankfully, someone with a voice that matters understands that.
Wan’Dale Robinson is chasing a major milestone
Robinson was also asked about being within less than 100 yards of hitting 1,000 yards for the first time in his NFL career. It clearly holds a lot of weight for him.
“I think it’d mean a lot, being able to hit that mark,” Robinson told the media. “I think every receiver wants to hit that 1,000-yard mark. I’m just going to continue to try to do what I can do and hopefully get to that number.”
This year was a challenge for the offense to be productive, considering the significant losses of budding stars Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo. Robinson was clear that he’s been aggressive in taking advantage of the opportunity.
“I think it just goes to show the work that I put in really this offseason,” Robinson share. “Didn’t really take any breaks, just wanted to go put in all that work knowing that I had to have a big year this year even if it was Malik that was going to be here too. Just putting in the work, and now it’s all – now the progress is just showing.”
Robinson’s best season before 2025 came last year when he totalled 699 yards in 17 games. He needs just 99 yards in the next two games to hit 1,000 for the first time in his career.
