The Denver Broncos currently have 10 players on injured reserve, but linebacker Dre Greenlaw (hamstring) won’t be joining them this week.

Greenlaw seems certain to be ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs, but the Denver Post’s Luca Evans reports the team is not planning to place him on IR. Had he landed on reserve, Greenlaw would have been required to sit out the final two games of the regular season and the first two weeks of the NFL playoffs.

Broncos safety Delarrin Turner-Yell (knee) did not get the same good news as Denver placed him on the practice squad/injured list on Tuesday (the practice squad equivalent of IR). DTY made his 2025 debut on Sunday after missing all of 2024 with a torn ACL, and he suffered another knee injury in his return.

Meanwhile, at linebacker, Justin Strnad (foot) is practicing this week, which is good timing following the Greenlaw injury. The Broncos should have three healthy ILBs — Alex Singleton, Strnad and Jordan Turner — against KC.

Denver can bring back two more players from IR during the regular season, plus an additional two players during the postseason. Candidates to return include linebackers Karene Reid and Drew Sanders, plus running back J.K. Dobbins, who would be able to return if the Broncos reach the Super Bowl.
