Hard Words For Luke Goedeke
December 24th, 2025
Stud Bucs right tackle Luke Goedeke was the opposite of locked in Sunday against the Panthers in Charlotte.
Yes, the home crowd was hyped, but this was no scary cauldron of extreme noise like in Kansas City, New Orleans or Seattle.
Goedeke had no excuse for his mistake-riddled game and Todd Bowles let him have it on the Buccaneers Radio Network last night.
“It’s concentration. You gotta concentrate more,” Bowles said.
“We can’t have our starting tackle our right tackle getting four penalties. He’s gotta be better than that. He knows that and he’ll be better next week at the same time. Everybody else fought [on the offensive line]. Everybody else battled. We won our share. We gave up a sack or two here and there, but we won our share and they battle tough.”
It was a rare rough day for Luke Goedeke. And it was inexcusable.
Somehow, the Bucs had seven penalties in the fourth quarter on Sunday in the biggest game of the season. Six were accepted. That’s a team that has its collective head in the wrong place.
