There is a silver lining in the dark cloud that hovers over the Jets: Breece Hall’s push for his first 1,000-yard season.
“Yeah, it’d be cool,” Hall told The Post. “Feel like it shouldn’t have took this long, but it’s a blessing to be able to get that accolade or whatever. But I’d just rather take some more wins over 1,000 yards.”
Hall was on his way to 1,000 yards as a rookie before a Week 7 torn ACL left him with 463 yards, and then he finished with 994 yards in 2023 and 876 yards last season. He has tailed off lately, but will take 954 rushing yards into Sunday’s game against the Patriots at MetLife Stadium.
“It started really well through the first seven, eight nine weeks, was top five, top 10 in rushing and yards per carry, explosive runs and everything like that, but just a lot of situational stuff’s been going on, so haven’t been able to be as successful as I want,” Hall said. “But at this point, I feel like since I’ve been here and not always been in the best situation, nobody’s ever really given me a pass, so I’ve kinda been expected to just play at a high level and be one of the top guys regardless of what the situation is.
