The Buffalo Bills are turning to one of their final pages of the 2025 NFL season against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Following an offseason that has built Super Bowl hopes, can the Bills turn their fortunes in the right direction and make that a reality after a bumpy year?

Before we even get to the team’s next kickoff, there will be a lot of Bills-related discussions and conversations to be had throughout the coming days.
With that, here are five storylines to watch for during the lead up to Bills (11-4) against the Eagles (10-5) in Week 17 at Highmark Stadium:
Josh vs. Jalen

Quarterbacks Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts don’t have NFL draft connections or conference/ divisional rivalry between them like other times we make such a comparison. However, the two do play a similar style of game despite their different physical makeups as QBs.
Even so, a comparison between the Bills & Eagles quarterbacks will be made.

Josh bounce-back game?

Speaking of Allen, he had a poor game last week despite the Bills beating the Cleveland Browns. He also sustained an ankle injury.
Is this a bounce-back game for Allen? Right before the postseason, that would be ideal.
Keeping pace in AFC East

While the Bills have locked in a playoff berth already, there is plenty to play for… namely the AFC East title. Keeping pace with the New England Patriots will be discussed throughout the coming days until kickoff on Sunday.
The tush push

Whenever the Eagles are on the field, opponents are aware of the “tush push.” Hurts and Philadelphia have excelled at the play so much that NFL teams have previously voted to make it illegal.

Not only will it be worth while watching if the Bills can stop it, Buffalo and head coach Sean McDermott were among those wanting to ban the play last offseason (even though the Bills use it).
It makes the situation all the more interesting to watch.
Super Bowl preview?

This is out of both teams hands. Regardless, the closer we get to kickoff, the more this chatter will pick up: Is this a potential Super Bowl preview?
