The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 17 contest against the Chicago Bears on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

As expected, tight end George Kittle did not practice after suffering an ankle sprain in Monday night’s win over the Indianapolis Colts. As for his availability against the Bears, head coach Kyle Shanahan said, “He’s got a chance. We’re not ruling him out.”

Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall returned as a limited participant after not practicing last week and missing the Colts matchup. Cornerback Renardo Green, who also sat out in Indianapolis, was limited as well.

Defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos did not practice after being activated from injured reserve on Monday and suiting up against the Colts. The 49ers typically avoid having him practice three consecutive days, and Shanahan confirmed his absence was part of this week’s plan for the player.

Linebacker Tatum Bethune, who tweaked his ankle against Indianapolis, was a full participant.

Below are Wednesday’s practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Bears, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
