On Monday, the San Francisco 49ers got a massive victory over Philip Rivers and the Indianapolis Colts, 48-27, and with the win, it brings the Niners closer to securing the top seed in the NFC playoffs.
In that game, quarterback Brock Purdy put up what many would say was the best game of his career, throwing for five touchdowns and 295 passing yards with a QB rating of 126.8.
At the conclusion of the game, many analysts discussed how well Purdy had played and received high praise from many. Still, professionals were not the only people who praised the former seventh-round draft pick; his teammates also got in on the action.
All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner also chimed in on how he felt watching the performance when he appeared on the Ryen Russillo show on Wednesday.
“I think that was Brock Purdy’s best game of his career. He’s had outstanding performances since he’s been here with us, but that game showed just how poised he is,” Warner said on the podcast.

Warner also praised the quarterback for doing a great job of dissecting defenses and getting the ball to any spot on the field.Â
Warner is recovering from the season-ending injury he suffered during Week 6 of the season when he dislocated and fractured his ankle against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Although the linebacker won’t get to witness the greatness from Purdy on the field as an active player right now, but if the quarterback continues to play well, I’m sure he will take the opportunity to publicly praise him as much as possible as Purdy hopes to lead the 49ers to the playoffs.
