Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens fell to 7-8 on the season this past Sunday following the team’s 28-24 loss to the New England Patriots (12-3). While the Ravens already had a tall task of trying to knock off one of the best teams in the league, it certainly didn’t help matters that Jackson left the game in the second quarter with a back injury.

Jackson, 28, already missed three games earlier this season with a hamstring injury, and has been missing practices throughout the year due to various ailments. As if dealing with Jackson’s injuries weren’t stressful enough, a column by The Baltimore Sun on Tuesday hinted at a rift between the MVP quarterback and the team.

Longtime columnist Mike Preston revealed that Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has “become tired of Jackson,” and also alleged that Jackson has been caught falling asleep in team meetings. Preston also suggested that with the growing tension, the Ravens should trade Jackson, tabbing Miami as a place where Jackson would “love” to play.

Harbaugh was asked about the alleged rift between him and Jackson, and made it clear that he is a big supporter of him and maintained that they have a great relationship.

“Our relationship is A-plus,” Harbaugh said. “I love him. Always have, always will. I know he’s fighting like crazy to get back.”

The Ravens will take on the Green Bay Packers (9-5-1) on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. ET, but Jackson’s status for the must-win game is unclear. According to ESPN, Baltimore has just a 6.6% chance of making the playoffs.
