Bucs In Danger Of Third-Place Finish
December 21st, 2025

Falcons head coach Raheem Morris

Who would have thought that Falcons quarterback Kirk “You Like That Again” Cousins would throw for less than 200 yards today and an interception?

He lost a fumble, too. It’s amazing how average (or worse) Cousins looks when not facing the Bucs.

Bucs-killer Kyle Pitts, the Falcons tight end, also had a nothing-special day after torching the Bucs 10 days ago. Still, the Falcons had enough to beat the three-win Cardinals 26-19 in Arizona.

The Falcons were able to take a knee to close the game after the Cardinals rather quickly threw an interception on the third play of their final drive.

That means Atlanta’s record now sits at 6-9, just one game behind the Buccaneers (7-8). That’s how far the Bucs have fallen. They could actually finish behind the Falcons with two games remaining.

Joe knows some Bucs fans are rooting for that, as it would help the Tampa Bay draft position. Sorry, Joe can’t go there when there’s at least a chance remaining to qualify for what looks like a very unpredictable postseason.
