NASHVILLE – Titans interim head coach Mike McCoy on Wednesday announced cornerback Marcus Harris is out for the season after suffering a knee injury in Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.

Harris, a sixth-round pick of the team in the 2025 NFL Draft, played in 14 games during his rookie season, with five starts.

He’s the only player McCoy officially ruled out for Sunday’s game vs the Saints.

“Unfortunately, he’ll be done for the year,” McCoy said of Harris. “It’s tough, because he has worked so hard and what he has done for this football team. The way he has worked, the way he has played, he has gotten better every week. … He has a really bright future.”

McCoy said “hopefully (Harris) can rest for a while and everything settles down.”

“And obviously they’ll reevaluate it as time goes on to see how he is feeling,” McCoy said regarding potential surgery, “and kind of go from there.”

The Titans placed receiver Bryce Oliver, edge Femi Oladejo, and edge Ali Gaye on the team’s Designated to Return to Practice list last week.

This designation opened up a three-week window for all three players to practice with the team, and they will not count against the team’s 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.

None of the players were activated for this past Sunday’s game, but all three players were spotted at Tuesday’s walkthrough practice.

McCoy on Wednesday did not commit to any of them playing again this season, however.

“Just like we have been saying from the first day they got back out there,” McCoy said. “With all three of those guys, if they are ready and they can be themselves, and it’s the right thing to do, we’ll bring them up and let them play.

“But if they are not really where we need them to be, then they won’t play. Honestly, with each of them, it’s day to day, kind of see where we’re at, push them through things. They are picking it up daily and doing a little more.”

Harris and running back Julius Chestnut were the only two players not spotted on the field during the open portion of Tuesday’s walkthrough, but both players were in the locker room during media availability.

Linebacker Cedric Gray, who missed the Kansas City game with a concussion, was on the practice field on Tuesday.

We’ll update all the injuries after today’s practice, which is scheduled for 11:25 p.m. at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park.

The first injury report of the week will be released later today.
