Tennessee Titans interim coach Mike McCoy has ruled another Titans rookie, and yet another defensive back, out for the season.

Cornerback Marcus Harris, who’s started six games in the defensive backfield after the Titans selected him in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury sustained on Dec. 21 against the Kansas City Chiefs. McCoy did not indicate if surgery will be required in Harris’ case, instead saying that rest will be prescribed and the injury will be re-evaluated “as time goes on.”

“It’s tough,” McCoy said Dec. 24. “He’s worked so hard, and what he’s done for this football team. The way he’s worked, the way he’s played. He’s gotten better every week. The position flexibility as we saw as we moved him around this year. He’s got a really bright future.”

Harris joins fellow rookie Kevin Winston Jr., as draft picks who had seasons end prematurely with injuries. He also joins Winston, Xavier Woods, Mike Brown, L’Jarius Sneed, Roger McCreary and Jarvis Brownlee Jr., as Titans defensive backs who didn’t finish the year because of injuries or being traded.

Without Harris, the Titans’ options at cornerback include Darrell Baker Jr., Kaiir Elam, Jayln Armour-Davis and Micah Robinson, as well as practice squad options Kemon Hall and Keydrain Calligan. Of those options, only Baker spent training camp with the Titans.

The Titans (3-12) host the New Orleans Saints (5-10) at Nissan Stadium on Dec. 28 (noon CT, CBS).
