After the decision to fire head coach Brian Callahan, the Tennessee Titans are now looking for the next person to lead the team forward. Callahan went 4-19 during his tenure with the Titans, and by the end of things, it felt like the team had quit on him.

*PREDICTION*

Tennessee has a foundation moving forward that starts with quarterback Cam Ward, and whoever comes in to be the next head coach will need to maximize his ability. Ward hasn’t looked the greatest in his rookie season so far, but the talent is there for the young signal-caller.

The Titans will likely have another top draft pick this year, giving themselves a chance to add even more talent to the mix. This team has the tools to succeed, but like any squad in the NFL, it needs a quality person running the show.

Tennessee may be one of the more attractive teams in this head coaching cycle due to having Ward, so it’s just a matter of the front office conducting a strong search.

Tennessee Titans Bring In Jesse Minter to Be New Head Coach

As the Titans brass looks for their next head coach, one name that could be very interesting is Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter. Minter came to the NFL with Jim Harbaugh, and he has helped transform the Chargers’ defensive unit into one of the best in the entire league.

Tennessee is looking for stability after firing Callahan, and Minter has been the epitome of that over his career. Pretty much everywhere that Minter has gone, the defense has been steady, and this could really interest a team like the Titans.

With Ward on the roster, Minter would need to help tweak things while turning the defense into a strength of this team. The Titans have a strong interior with Jeffery Simmons and T’Vondre Sweat on the roster, and Minter could easily work with these two stars going forward.

The Titans may not be too far off from contending for a playoff spot, especially if the front office were to spend some money in free agency. Having Minter running the show could help, as players have spoken very highly about him over the years, wherever he has gone.

There is no state income tax in Tennessee, making the Titans an appealing landing spot for some of the better free agents. Overall, the Titans can become a powerhouse in a short time, but they do need to get the head coaching pick correct this time around.

Almost every year, we see teams completely flip the script from the past few years, and Tennessee could be that squad for the 2026 season. If they were to add Minter, it would be a strong hire, and the Titans may get the steal of the coaching cycle.
