Charles Barkley isn’t a fan of the NFL playing Christmas Day games.
Christmas used to be the sole purview of the NBA, but in recent years the NFL has began playing games on Christmas as well.
This year the NFL is featuring a triple-header of the Cowboys vs. Commanders, Lions vs. Vikings, and Broncos vs. Chiefs.
The NBA, meantime, has five games on tap, beginning with the Cavaliers at Knicks at noon.
“It is tremendous [to have NBA games on Christmas] because you got five games,” Barkley said Thursday on “Inside the NBA.” “There’s nobody else playing.
“The NFL got greedy and started adding Christmas games. We used to have this day to ourself but you know Roger Goodell and them pigs at the NFL always wanna hog every day of the week now….They on Saturday now, too, on Friday, too.
“Christmas is an NBA day, and that is it…Stay in your lane, Roger.”
