Veteran CB Keith Taylor will join the Jaguars 53-man roster.
The Jacksonville Jaguars poached cornerback Keith Taylor off of the Atlanta Falcons‘ practice squad, ESPN’s Marc Raimondi reported on Thursday evening. Per league rules, any player signed off of another team’s practice squad must be added to the acquiring team’s 53-man roster.
Taylor, 27, signed with the Falcons in free agency, and despite failing to make the roster out of training camp, he was later added to Atlanta’s practice squad. The veteran cornerback has appeared in two games this season, recording six tackles (four solo).
The Falcons made a few other additions to the practice squad ahead of their Week 17 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football. The team signed safety Tysheem Johnson on Monday before adding linebacker Eugene Asante to the practice squad Tuesday.
The Falcons also designated cornerback Clark Phillips III to return from the injured reserve list, opening his practice window with two weeks left to play in the 2025 NFL season. Check out the team’s updated 53-man roster and practice squad entering Sunday’s game against the Rams below.
