The New York Jets have been a maligned NFL organization with many years, and as the team prepares to miss the playoffs again in 2025 the fanbase is growing fed up with the Woody Johnson regime.
Heading into the 2026 NFL Draft, the Jets have a high pick in sight with just two weeks remaining. However, the franchise has a big issue on its hands as well after upsetting one of their many superfans before Christmas.

New York made a drastic mistake recently during the organization’s $100,000 field goal kicking competition. One of the finalists set to compete in the event was a high school soccer head coach, but her entry was taken away.
Season ticket holder Ashley Castanio-Gervasi was set to compete in the ‘Kick for Cash’ contest this weekend when the New York Jets face the New England Patriots. However, she says her invite was rescinded suddenly due to her standing as a soccer coach.
“This is life-changing money for me,” Castanio-Gervasi told The Post. “I was confident I could have made it.”
Allegedly there is a rule that says it’s prohibited recent players and coaches from Olympic, college, and high school soccer, rugby, and football teams to play in the competition.
The Jets fanbase is outraged by the decision, which comes as the franchise is having another terrible 3-12 season. New York hasn’t made the playoffs in over 15 years while their AFC East rivals continue to thrive.
