The Chargers are back in the playoffs again after the Colts lost to the 49ers on Monday night. The Chargers clinched a postseason berth on Sunday by virtue of their 34-17 win over the Cowboys followed with a loss from the Colts.
The Chargers are currently riding into the final two regular season games of the season on a 4-game winning streak. The Chargers are playing their best football of the season with the playoffs around the corner. The Chargers also are still in control of their destiny to win the AFC West, though the Broncos are currently still 1st place in the division.
Chargers qb Justin Herbert said after the game that “I think the really cool thing about this team is that we’ve really taken it week by week. We’re never looking too far ahead or looking too far back.” The Chargers defense has been coming up big lately for the team helping them with the win streak the team is having right now.
Chargers are 11-4 now in the season after the Week 16 win and the team also clinched a playoff spot a week earlier than they did in year 1 under head Coach Jim Harbaugh in 2024. The Broncos lead the division at 12-3 but lost Sunday to the Jaguars, who are also now 12-3. The Chargers won the first meeting earlier this season, and are looking to remain perfect going 6-0 against the AFC West.
Chargers host the Houston Texans on Saturday December 27th. Kickoff for the game is at 1:30 PM.
