After back-to-back wins and another NFC East title secured, the Philadelphia Eagles are trending up with the playoff just a few weeks away.
But which players’ stocks are individually rising down the stretch? And whose arrows are pointing down as the season winds down?
Let’s check out a new stock report ahead of the Eagles’ Week 17 game vs. the Buffalo Bills.
STOCK UP
RB Saquon Barkley: Nick Sirianni called Barkley a “special” player on Monday. Everyone knew that to be the case, especially after a historic 2024. But it took us a while to see it this season. Barkley rushed for 132 yards vs. Washington, surpassing the century mark for the second time in the last three games. Over his last four, Barkley is averaging 5.1 yards per carry, compared to 3.7 per over his first 11 games of the season. Barkley has finally had room to run as opposed to being hit in the backfield time and time again. The NFL Offensive Player of the Year hitting his stride is what the Eagles need going into the postseason.
DT Brandon Graham: Another week, another sack for the 37-year-old. Graham got his third sack in two weeks when he ripped down Marcus Mariota. All three of those have come with Graham operating as a defensive tackle in obvious passing situations. Jalen Carter is coming back, so that might cut into those snaps. But it’s nice to know he’s still got it.
RB Tank Bigsby: When Bigsby was barely seeing the field earlier this season, some wondered whether or not it was a worthwhile trade by Howie Roseman, sending fifth-round and sixth-round picks to Jacksonville for the 23-year-old back. But Bigsby looked good again with 37 yards and a 22-touchdown run on four carries. He’s now averaging 6.6 yards per carry as Barkley’s backup. Roseman is looking like a smart man bringing Bigsby in.
STOCK DOWN
RB Will Shipley: Shipley had a pair of special teams mistakes against the Commanders. But this season as a whole hasn’t been what Shipley probably hoped it would be. With Kenneth Gainwell gone, Shipley has been the third-down back in obvious passing downs. But there was a thought that he might be the team’s No. 2 back in all scenarios this year. Instead, those reps have gone to Bigsby, who, like Shipley, is under contract through next season. It seems as though Shipley is stuck in this role — and might have to battle for it in 2026.
K Jake Elliott: This one is obvious. Elliott struggled mightily vs. Washington, missing a pair of field goals — and a third that was negated by a penalty. Elliott’s 70.8% conversion rate on the season ranks dead last out of the 28 kickers with at least 20 field-goal attempts. Nick Sirianni has stated his confidence in the veteran kicker. But Elliott has to turn it around. Otherwise, the Eagles will have a real special teams problem in the postseason.
