According to Jon Machota of The Athletic, Jones revealed on the @1053thefan pregame show that he dressed up as Santa Claus and personally handed out Christmas gifts to Cowboys players at the team hotel the night before.
Jones sounded delighted as he shared the story on air, making it clear the experience meant as much to him as it did to the players. “I know this team got so much out of it. I’ll never forget it,” Jones said while laughing. “A lot of fun.”

The surprise quickly became a feel-good moment inside the building, giving players a brief escape from the usual routine and intensity that surrounds the franchise.
Instead of meetings and film study, they were greeted by their owner in a Santa suit, spreading holiday cheer. Jerry Jones has always been closely involved with his team, but this Christmas visit stood out even by his standards.
The game will kick off at 01:00 p.m. ET against the Washington Commanders.
And before the game started, Dak Prescott sent a message to the team, saying, “Enjoy this brotherhood. Enjoy these last two games. Don’t take a moment for granted. We’ve got a special group. This is about having fun together. We’ll make sure we do that today.”
