Former Penn State football wide receiver Julian Fleming signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent, according to Packers columnist Zach Jacobson.

The Catawissa, Pennsylvania, native came out of Southern Columbia High School as a five-star and No. 1 wide receiver recruit in the class of 2020, per the 247Composite rankings. He was the No. 1 recruit in all of Pennsylvania and the No. 3 national prospect.
Fleming committed to Ohio State in May 2019 and enrolled with the Buckeyes in January 2020. In his time in Columbus, Fleming failed to live up to his hype coming out of his stellar high school career. In four seasons, Fleming only racked up 963 yards on 79 receptions with seven touchdowns.
Fleming transferred to Penn State in January 2024. Despite making two clutch plays in the Nittany Lions’ thrilling win over USC, his sole season in Happy Valley was more of the same for the wideout. He only amassed 176 yards on 14 receptions and one touchdown in a Penn State receiving room that left a lot to be desired in 2024.
Fleming’s draft stock continued in a downward trend following a lackluster performance at Penn State’s Pro Day. He notably ran a 4.68-second 40-yard dash, which would have placed him as the second-slowest wide receiver time at the NFL Combine.
