The San Francisco 49ers are heading into their fifth primetime game of the season, this time against the Chicago Bears in the team’s Week 17 contest at Levi’s® Stadium. The team released the final injury report ahead of the “Sunday Night Football” matchup.

Quarterback Kurtis Rourke and cornerback Renardo Green have both been ruled out for Sunday’s game. Green continues to deal with a neck injury that head coach Kyle Shanahan said is a reaggravation from earlier in the season, though he noted the cornerback made progress this week and is trending toward a return next week.

Tight end George Kittle and wide receiver Ricky Pearsall are both listed as questionable. Shanahan shared that Kittle’s status could come down to a game-day decision, with the veteran tight end expected to have a clearer sense of his availability closer to kickoff. Meanwhile, Pearsall showed improvement throughout the week after being unable to practice at all last week.

“He got through it,” Shanahan said of Pearsall. “He was able to go some, as opposed to last week he wasn’t able to go at all. I think it got better for him each day and hopefully it’ll continue here over the next 48 hours.”

Shanahan also provided an update on Jacob Cowing, indicating the wide receiver is close to returning and could be back on the practice field next week.
