On Tuesday, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin did not rule out any players but said there would be a number of players who would be limited early in the week. Labeled as “bumps and bruises associated with play,” the was the likelihood of more players missing Wednesday’s practice is inevitable this time of year.

After needing a surgical procedure to repair a punctured lung two weeks ago, the status of T.J. Watt for the rest of the 2025 season has still not been reported. On Wednesday, Watt returned to practice as a limited participant. Thursday and Friday saw Watt limited again as he has been ruled out as he continues to ramp up his return.

Another player who missed the last two games was cornerback James Pierre with a calf injury. Starting off the week, Pierre was able to get back on the practice field, albeit in a limited capacity. On Thursday, Pierre was once again limited. Friday saw a step in the wrong direction as Pierre did not practice and was ruled out.

Two other players who missed Sunday’s game were guard Isaac Seumalo with a triceps injury and linebacker Nick Herbig with a hamstring injury. On Wednesday, both players were able to participate in practice as they were both limited. For Thursday, both players were once again limited. Friday saw Herbig back as a full participant with no injury designation for the game while Seumalo was once again limited and is questionable for Sunday.

Two players with casts on their hands but have continued to play are quarterback Aaron Rodgers and wide receiver Ben Skowronek. Because they have the casts they need to be listed on the injury report, but both players were full participants all week with no injury status.

Dealing with a knee injury during practice last week, long snapper Christian Kunitz was able to play last Sunday. Fro the week, Kuntz was a full participant every day and is good to go for Sunday.

Two players who were unable to finish Sunday’s game were cornerback Brandin Echols with a groin and wide receiver Calvin Austin with a hamstring. Neither player was able to participate in Wednesday’s practice. Thursday and Friday saw both players out again and have been ruled out for Sunday.

After an impressive rushing performance, Jaylen Warren is dealing with a hip injury. On Wednesday, Warren was a limited participant. For Thursday’s and Friday’s practice, Warren was back in the full category and has no injury status for Week 17.

The final two names on Wednesday’s injury report were players who did not practice but not due to injury. Troy Fautanu missed practice for a personal reason while Cam Heyward missed due to rest. On Thursday, Fautanu returned as a full participant while Heyward was limited still with a rest designation. Friday saw Fautanu as full again while Heyward got another day of rest as neither player has a game starts for Sunday.

The one new player on Thursday’s report was safety Jalen Ramsey who missed practice due to an illness. Friday saw Ramsey out with illness again and he is questionable for Sunday’s game.
