Right now, the Denver Broncos have the 20th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
And with the fun set to begin in about 48 hours, rumors are swirling if they’ll keep that selection.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Broncos might be moving up in the draft. Even GM George Paton acknowledged last week that could be a possibility. Although, he also said Denver could move down.
Regardless, the situation is fluid. But even with all the trade chatter, let’s not forget that the most likely outcome is the Broncos stay at No. 20 overall.
If they do, ESPN’s Matt Miller is putting a name on the radar of fans. Talented wide receiver Luther Burden III out of Missouri.
Luther Burden’s range starts at 20. I know Denver did a ton of work on him. He could be picked anywhere between 20 and 35, is the best guess I can make based on intel that’s out there. https://t.co/45T8U1bKuJ

Based on that tweet, Miller thinks that Burden will be on the board when Denver picks, provided that is at 20th. Some mocks have him going in the first-round, while others have him falling to early in Round 2. Hence why Miller thinks Burden will go somewhere between 20 and 35.
And the Broncos apparently have done “a ton of work” on this prospect.
There’s no doubt he’s talented. Burden had a monster sophomore year at Mizzou in 2023, catching 86 passes for 1,212 yards and nine touchdowns. His numbers weren’t as great last year, but neither was the QB play from the Tigers. Burden finished 2024 with 61 catches for 676 yards and six touchdowns. He added two more rushing scores.
Burden feels like the kind of player who would be talked about as a top-10 pick if he played college football at Alabama, Georgia or LSU. But because it was at Missouri, and again the Tigers offense wasn’t dynamic last year, his stock has been hurt.
That could actually be a great thing for the Broncos, potentially getting a player at No. 20 overall who projects as a future WR1 in the NFL.
There are all kinds of names being linked to Denver right now, but Miller knows his stuff. So keep an eye on the Broncos potentially snagging Burden on Thursday night.
