College football’s regular bowl season reaches one of its best days on Saturday as eight bowl games kick off, featuring a few of the biggest brands in college football. With start times from 11 a.m. to 9:15 p.m., the party goes on all day.Â
Pittsburgh and East Carolina start things off in the Military Bowl, but the Pinstripe Bowl between Penn State and Clemson will be a heavyweight battle on network television. The Pop-Tarts Bowl between No. 22 Georgia Tech and No. 12 BYU is perhaps the best outside of the College Football Playoff. No. 19 Virginia and Missouri will vie in the Gator Bowl, and LSU plays No. 21 Houston at NRG Stadium to close out the Texas Bowl.Â
Interspersed throughout the day are some electric matchups featuring some of the top players in the sport. North Texas quarterback Drew Mestermaker will be on hand for the New Mexico Bowl against San Diego State, while Missouri running back Ahmad Hardy will vie against Virginia in the Gator Bowl. Quarterbacks Haynes King and Bear Bachmeier will be on hand for the Pop Tarts Bowl, and Penn State running back Kaytron Allen will headline the matchup with Clemson.Â
CBS Sports will be here every step of the way to update you with the latest scores, highlights and storylines throughout the loaded schedule of bowl game action. All times Eastern
