GLENDALE – The Arizona Cardinals lose another starter for the 2025 season, adding to the endless list for the franchise. Tackle Paris Johnson Jr. joins other starters like James Conner, Kyler Murray, Garrett Williams, Walter Nolen and more to be added to injury reserve and ending their year. The former sixth overall pick in 2023 was one of the few bright spots of Arizona’s offensive line, but injuries will leave the unit without its best player.

Johnson’s 2025 campaign is over:

Johnson entered his third season looking for his first Pro Bowl selection. The Cardinals run game was one of the best in the league last year because of the 24-year-old and eyed to build on that success in 2025. However, the unit took a massive step back, so much so that not even Johnson could make a difference to improve.

Arizona went from sixth to 27th in the league in rushing yards per game. The fall off could be credited to injuries to starting running backs and the supporting offensive linemen. Johnson started in the team’s first 13 games, with a revolving door of fellow tackles and guards surrounding him. Despite his effort, Johnson suffered a sprained MCL in Week 14 that made him miss back-to-back games, then eventually ending on injury reserve.
