The Chicago Bears have won the NFC North title for the first time since 2018, and they didn’t even need to take the field to do it. Just one day before their pivotal matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, the Bears got some help as the Baltimore Ravens flew into Green Bay to take on the Packers as they were looking to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Thanks to a stellar performance from running back Derrick Henry, who rushed for 216 yards and four touchdowns on 36 carries, the Ravens pushed past the Packers to win 41-24. With the Packers falling to 9-6-1, they became locked into the No. 7 seed, giving the Bears their first division title since 2018. At a minimum, the Bears will host a playoff game at Soldier Field, which once seemed impossible after the team started 0-2 back in September.

With two games to go, Chicago still has plenty to play for, however. The top overall seed in the conference is still up for grabs, and the Bears can capture it by winning out and having the Seattle Seahawks lose at least one of their final two games. For now, though, fans are celebrating the division title. Here is how social media reacted to the news:

Per ESPN, Bears had a 13.5% chance before the season to win the NFC North.

After starting 0-2 in the division, odds plummeted to the low single digits.

Tonight, they earned the crown. 👑🐻⬇️

Is this the start of taking the North and never giving it back?

It may have taken a little longer than we hoped after his introductory press conference but credit to Ryan Poles and company. He built a hell of a team and Ben Johnson is the best. NFC North Champs.
