Derrick Henry, Ravens run all over the Packers | Video analysis

Pete Dougherty joins Dominique Yates for instant reaction to the Ravens’ 41-24 victory over the Packers at Lambeau Field.

Yes, the Green Bay Packers are still going to the playoffs.

But you couldn’t tell by the way the slumping Packers, who dropped their third straight game, looked as they were being shredded by Derrick Henry and the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night in a 41-24 loss in Week 17 at Lambeau Field.

The loss, as a result, locked the Packers into their spot in the 2025 NFC playoffs. And it’s a familiar one.

The Packers will be the seventh and final seed, the same spot they were in the 2023 and 2024 playoffs.

That means if the depleted Packers (9-6-1), whose defense let down Malik Willis’ excellent showing while he filled in for Jordan Love, want to make a Super Bowl run, they’ll have to do it all on the road.

The Packers, who were gifted their playoff spot on Christmas, close out the regular season at the Minnesota Vikings in Week 18.

Here’s the Packers’ playoff scenarios, NFC playoff picture and remaining schedule:

Are the Packers going to the playoffs?

The Packers entered their Week 17 game having a playoff berth already secured. The Detroit Lions‘ loss on Christmas Day to the Vikings two days ago gave the Packers a postseason spot.

So, despite the loss to the Ravens and dropping their third straight, the Packers are still going to the playoffs.

But they’re certainly not looking like a playoff team and or peaking at the right time.

Packers playoff scenarios

The Packers came into the game with a chance to win the NFC North. They needed to win their final two games and have the Chicago Bears to lose their final two games.

The 41-24 loss to the Ravens has put those division title dreams to bed. The Bears are the NFC North champions for the first time since 2018.

The Packers, meanwhile, will be the third wild-card team.

Regardless of the result next week against the Vikings, the Packers will be the seventh seed and face the No. 2 seed in the wild-card round.

NFC playoff picture

Six of the seven NFC playoff berths have been clinched, though many of the seeds have yet to be determined. The NFC South champion, which will has yet to be decided, will be the No. 4 seed.

Here are the standings:

In the hunt: Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 7-8 (can only win the NFC South and be the fourth seed)

Eliminated: Minnesota Vikings: 8-8, Detroit Lions: 8-8, Dallas Cowboys 7-8-1, Atlanta Falcons: 6-9, New Orleans Saints: 5-10, Washington Commanders: 4-12, Arizona Cardinals: 3-12, New York Giants: 2-13

Who will the Packers play in the playoffs?

The Packers are the seventh seed so they’ll play the No. 2 seed in the wild-card round in a game either Jan. 10, 11 or 12.

If the seeds hold, the Packers will play the Bears in the wild-card round, the third matchup between the two teams.

The Bears are currently the second seed but they could move up to the No. 1 seed or fall to No. 3 based on how their final two games go.
