The Tennessee Titans (3-12) will take on the New Orleans Saints (5-10) this Sunday afternoon at Nissan Stadium in their 16th game of the 2025 regular season.
Opening the week, the Titans were listed as 2.5-point home underdogs, and that’s where the spread remains as of this writing.
How does the Titans Wire staff see this Week 17 battle shaking out? Here’s a look at our picks and score predictions.
Mark Mihalko: Titans 21, Saints 17
The Titans start fast and take an early lead against the Saints to gain some early momentum, but Tyler Shough stands tall and brings New Orleans all the way back using a balanced attack that takes advantage of the Titans’ depleted secondary. The game remains close in the fourth quarter when Cam Ward shows off some of his rookie growth and connects for a late touchdown to give the Titans the win.
Serena Burks: Saints 31, Titans 28
Both the Titans and Saints have seen a surge of improvement over the last few weeks. The Saints’ lack of a run game makes them a one-dimensional team, but against the Titans’ slim secondary, it might not matter. The Titans could be eyeing a shot at landing the No. 1 overall draft pick in 2026 with a loss, but this team has a strong desire to win. I see Cam Ward continuing on his current trajectory, but the defense fails to stop Tyler Shough and Chris Olave.
Dan Benton: Titans 23, Saints 20
Although the Saints are favored and most (by a small margin) are predicting them to win, I feel the Titans are riding high after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs. And with the pressure of “tanking” for draft positioning already off their shoulders, Tennessee will play more carefree on Sunday, aiming to duplicate that winning feeling. Merry Christmas, Titans fans. They will do exactly that.
Bryan Manning: Titans 20, Saints 17
Can the Titans win two in a row? At one time, this looked like a win on the schedule. However, the Saints have been playing excellent football over the last several weeks. It’s a matchup of two rookie quarterbacks. While the Saints are playing well, I think the Titans get it done.
Tyler Henry: Titans 24, Saints 17
With both teams making a late surge and the spread reflecting how close this game is expected to be, I’m giving the edge to the Titans here due to the fact that they are at home.
Joel Titus: Titans 27, Saints 24
The Titans have found a winning formula on offense, and Ward has been playing his best football of the season recently. Both of these teams have found some wins through the success of a rookie quarterback. I see these teams going well over the over/under of 39.5 that Vegas has set. I see the difference between these teams from the Titans’ recent rushing success. I like Tony Pollard to rush for over 100 yards against the Saints behind this gelled offensive line.
