Sean Barnard gives his top DraftKings DFS plays for this week’s DraftKings Millionaire contest for Sunday’s Week 17 NFL action.

Week 17 of the NFL season has arrived, with the final stretch of the regular season in full swing. The Sunday slate is a bit diluted with three matchups taking place on Thursday and a pair of games on Saturday. But even still, there are several notable games with postseason and draft order implications.

There are plenty of ways to get involved in the action with DraftKings Sportsbook and DFS contests. As you seek to maximize your DFS lineups, here is a look at a few players in line to outperform their price point to help give you an edge across Sunday’s slate. This article presents my top DFS lineup and the logic behind each selection.

Quarterback

Trevor Lawrence ($6,100)

Now in his fifth NFL season, Trevor Lawrence is playing the best football of his career. The former No. 1 overall pick has thrown for 3,489 passing yards, a career-high 26 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions, while adding 322 rushing yards and seven scores on the ground. Lawrence is producing 20.6 fantasy points per game, which ranks seventh among quarterbacks on DraftKings scoring. He has gotten better as the season has progressed, with 47.3 fantasy points against the Jets two weeks ago and 31.2 fantasy points against a strong Broncos’ defense last week.

The Jaguars will face the Indianapolis Colts this week, who have seen their postseason hopes slip greatly with five straight losses. Bringing in Philip Rivers was a surprise, but more of their issues have been on the defensive side of the ball. The Colts enter the week ranking 18th in points allowed and 25th in total yards given up. They have been particularly vulnerable against the pass, ranking 31st in passing yards conceded. Brock Purdy carved up the Colts for 295 passing yards and five passing touchdowns last week.

Other Considerations: Drake Maye ($6,800), Jalen Hurts ($6,600), Jacoby Brissett ($5,700), Tyler Shough ($5,200)

Running Back

Saquon Barkley ($7,600)

The Philadelphia Eagles will face the Buffalo Bills this week and are looking to build up some momentum heading into the postseason. They are coming off back-to-back wins over the Raiders and Commanders, but this will be a notable leap in competition. Part of finding their stride is embracing more of a run-first offense, which was their pathway to a Super Bowl victory last year. Saquon Barkley has not been able to replicate his historic output and has underwhelmed this year relative to his sky-high expectations.

The three-time Pro Bowler has 1,072 rushing yards, seven rushing touchdowns, 273 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns. Barkley’s 15.7 fantasy points per game on DraftKings scoring ranks 13th among running backs, and is well below the 24.3 fantasy points he averaged last year.

Buffalo has struggled to stop the run all season, ranking 29th in rushing yards allowed, 31st in net yards per rush attempt, and last in rushing touchdowns allowed. With Buffalo’s cold weather, expect Philadelphia to put the ball in Barkley’s hands at a high rate.

Kenneth Walker III ($5,800)

The Seattle Seahawks will face the Carolina Panthers this week, and are looking to maintain their spot as the top seed in the NFC. Kenneth Walker III has been the healthiest he has been in his career, playing all 15 games and producing 1,119 yards from scrimmage and five total touchdowns. He is averaging 11.5 fantasy points per game on DraftKings scoring, which ranks 29th among running backs. Walker is coming off his best performance of the season, with 28.4 fantasy points against the Rams and eclipsing 100 yards for the second time this season.

The Carolina Panthers are also in the postseason hunt, but this is a matchup that Seattle should control if it plays to its standard. Expect the Seahawks to soak up some clock, and for Walker to see an increase in carries. Carolina also ranks 23rd in net yards per carry allowed and 25th in rushing touchdowns conceded. Expect the game script to favor more touches for Walker and for him to build off last week’s breakout.

Other Considerations: Jonathan Taylor ($7,800), Travis Etienne Jr. ($7,100), Bucky Irving ($6,200), Kenneth Gainwell ($5,600)

Wide Receivers

Mike Evans ($6,500)

Injuries are set to snap Mike Evans’ streak of 11 consecutive seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards. But the Buccaneers are thrilled to have their star wideout back on the field and will continue utilizing him at a high rate. Across six games this season, Evans has pulled in 25 receptions for 303 yards and two touchdowns. He announced his return to the field in Week 15 with 132 receiving yards, and he reached the end zone for the second time this year in Week 16. The future Hall of Famer is averaging just 11.7 fantasy points per game on DraftKings scoring this season. This is a career-low with his previous worst mark being 13.7 per game. He’s averaged 16+ fantasy points per game in eight of 12 seasons.

Tampa Bay will face the Miami Dolphins this week, who have shown a respectable level of fight as the season winds down. But there are still concerns with their defense, as the Dolphins rank 22nd in points allowed, 20th in yards given up, 23rd in passing touchdowns conceded, and 25th in net yards per pass attempt. The Buccaneers need a win and some help to earn a postseason opportunity.

Michael Wilson ($6,400)

The Arizona Cardinals have been a mess this season, but Michael Wilson has quietly been a breakout stars. The Stanford product has built some nice chemistry alongside Jacoby Brissett and is producing a career-best season. Wilson has 68 receptions for 818 yards and five touchdowns. He has played his best football down the stretch of the season, with 587 receiving yards and four touchdowns coming over the past six weeks.

This is a great chance to add to this as the Cardinals face the Cincinnati Bengals. While the Bengals are always good for a strong offensive output, their defense has been an issue for several seasons. This year, they rank last in the NFL in points allowed, yards given up, net yards per pass attempt, and passing touchdowns allowed. Wilson has seen 11+ targets in four of the past six weeks and will continue to be a huge part of this Cardinals’ offense. Look for him to chase 1,000 receiving yards and be in line for a strong output against the worst defense in the league.

Jakobi Meyers ($5,300)

The Jaguars made a midseason trade to bring in Jakobi Meyers ahead of the deadline. Jacksonville has hit its stride as an offense since his arrival, and the organization has rewarded him with an extension. Meyers has suited up for seven games with the Jaguars, pulling in 31 receptions for 400 yards and three touchdowns across this stretch. His 11.3 fantasy points per game on DraftKings scoring ranks 41st among wide receivers, but the 15.1 he has averaged in Jacksonville would rank 12th. This also came while he was limited in his first few games as he settled in with his new teammates and learned the playbook.

Pairing Meyers with Lawrence allows a chance to double dip on production, and both will have the same advantage of facing this vulnerable Colts’ defense. Meyers has seen at least six targets in every game with the Jaguars, and this should continue this week. The $5,300 price point is a great value based on his increased role in the offense. The NC State product has performed like one of the best wide receivers in football of late, so get him plugged into your lineups before the cost catches up to this.

Other Considerations: Ja’Marr Chase ($8,300), Jaylen Waddle ($6,100), Tetairoa McMillan ($5,900), Michael Pittman Jr. ($4,900)

Tight End

Brenton Strange ($4,000)

Another Jaguars standout I am plugging into the lineup is tight end Brenton Strange. In a year where the output of tight ends has been inconsistent across the board, Strange has quietly flown under the radar for how solid he has been. The Penn State product has 37 receptions, 434 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while missing five games due to injury. He has climbed to 18th among tight ends, averaging 9.2 fantasy points per game on DraftKings scoring.

Like the rest of the Jaguars’ offense, Strange has come on strong as the season has wound down. He has tallied 13+ fantasy points in three of the five games since returning from injury, averaging 10.4 fantasy points across this stretch. Jacksonville’s offense is firing on all cylinders and in line to put up a major number against the Colts.

Other Considerations: Hunter Henry ($4,500), Tyler Warren ($4,400), Darren Waller ($3,800)

Flex

Tyrone Tracy Jr. ($5,400)

Plenty of eyes will be on the Giants vs. Raiders game as the two worst teams square off. There has been some stacking of the deck on both sides of the matchup, as each side looks to maximize its chances of securing the No. 1 overall pick. But, football still has to be played, and some level of production will occur.

Look for Tyrone Tracy Jr. to pull his weight as the Giants lean on a run-first attack. It took until a few minutes in the second quarter for New York to attempt its first passing play last week, with Jaxson Dart finishing with just 33 passing yards in the game. Tracy Jr. had 16 carries and received two receptions for 78 total yards. The 26-year-old has 575 rushing yards, 237 receiving yards, and three touchdowns on the year. He is averaging 9.7 fantasy points per game on DraftKings scoring, but has 16+ fantasy points in three of the past five games, including 24.7 fantasy points in Week 15. It will not be the prettiest pathway to reaching a strong output, but count on Tracy Jr. seeing enough volume to outperform his $5,400 price point.

Defense & Special Teams

New York Giants ($2,900)

Neither the Giants nor the Raiders will have any interest in putting up points in this matchup, as a loss is in the best long-term interest of both teams. The Raiders rank last in points scored and yards tallied on the season anyway. These concerns will be further maximized with Brock Bowers and several other key players shut down. New York’s defense has not graded statistically well this season, ranking 28th in points allowed and 29th in yards given up. But there is more talent than these numbers indicate, and they are facing the worst offense in the league. Geno Smith has a league-worst 15 interceptions, and Las Vegas has 22 turnovers as a team. Expect this to be an ugly matchup, but for the Giants to have a clear pathway to a strong fantasy football output, well above the $2,900 price point.

Other Considerations: Patriots ($3,900), Seahawks ($3,700), Raiders ($2,700)
