On Saturday, the San Francisco 49ers announced the following roster moves ahead of their Sunday night clash with the Chicago Bears:

Elevated LB Eric Kendricks from the team’s practice squad (standard elevation)
Elevated TE Brayden Willis from the practice squad (standard elevation)

Kendricks is being elevated for the second week in a row after signing with the 49ers’ practice squad on November 26. Kendricks spent the 2024 season with the Dallas Cowboys, but never signed with a team in 2025 until signing with the 49ers last month. Last week, he entered the game against the Indianapolis Colts on Monday night when starting linebacker Tatum Bethune went down with an injury. Kendricks played 10 snaps on defense and 15 snaps on special teams. He recorded two tackles. Kendricks will wear number 43 on Sunday.

Willis has appeared in five games for the 49ers this season. He will likely serve as the 49ers’ third tight end if starter George Kittle misses the game with an ankle injury. Kittle is questionable and will be a game-time decision. Willis has played only 12 snaps on offense, while logging 74 snaps on special teams. He will wear number 82 in the game.

In other news, the NFL fined 49ers CB Deommodore Lenoir $11,593 for a late hit in the game against the Colts on Monday night. No Colts players were fined.
