Cleveland Browns star cornerback Denzel Ward hopes they can ‘ruin’ the Pittsburgh Steelers’ season on Sunday with a win to nix their hopes to clinch a playoff berth in Week 17.

Ward, who had been unavailable for the last few games due to a calf injury, will make his return this week and hopes his presence can boost a Browns defense that has struggled over the past few games.

“Yeah man, it sounds like it’s an amazing opportunity that we have, you know, we still playing for something,” Ward said. “So we playing to ruin their hopes of getting into the playoffs, and so that’s what we’re going in there to try to do, and to the best way we can, but still something to play for.”

The Browns are playing for pride, and trashing their division rival’s chances to clinch the AFC North would bring a lot of that to the table on Sunday. Pittsburgh cruised the last time both teams played at Acrisure Stadium with the Steelers winning 23-9, but the Browns are a different team now.

Pittsburgh can not let the Browns do that, however, and a win to make their Week 18 game meaningless would be a big boost, especially with how banged up the team is at this point.
