Jacksonville Jaguars pre-game analysis ahead of game vs. Colts

Florida Times-Union Jacksonville Jaguars reporter Demetrius Harvey gives the team’s keys to victory against the Colts in Week 17.

On the heels of a win against the Indianapolis Colts, the Jacksonville Jaguars know what time they’ll be playing the Tennessee Titans in Week 18.

The Jaguars will host No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward and the Titans at 1 p.m. at EverBank Stadium on Sunday, Jan. 4.

It’ll be the regular season finale, with the AFC Title to be claimed if the Jaguars win. If they lose, they’ll still go to the playoffs as a Wild Card team while the Houston Texans will claim the division for the third consecutive season.

Head coach Liam Coen has done well in his first season in Jacksonville, turning around the team’s fortune and winning 12 games for the third time in franchise history. Now the goal is to win the division for the first time since 2022 and host a home playoff game.

It’s an obtainable goal against the 3-13 Titans, especially after the 25-3 victory on Nov. 30 in Nashville.

The Jaguars are currently on a seven-game win streak and if they make it to eight, they’ll claim the AFC South crown.
