The Tennessee Titans (3-13) fell to the New Orleans Saints (6-10), 34-26, on Sunday afternoon in Nashville.

The New Orleans Saints started sluggishly and were down by 10 at halftime. The Saints could have been down by even more going into halftime if it wasn’t for a crucial strip sack fumble recovery touchdown by their defense.

The Saints’ offense responded strongly with touchdowns, while the Titans responded with field goals in the second half, and that’s why the Saints outscored the Titans 24-6 in the second half.

The lone points scorer for the Titans in the second half was Joey Slye, including knocking through a 58-yard field goal in the fourth quarter on a gusty Nashville day. He also accounted for the majority of the points today with 14 on the day, and for that reason, he is your Titans’ Wire player of the game.

Slye was critical in keeping this game close. After some struggles this season, it’s very refreshing to see him have a perfect day, capped off with that difficult 58-yarder to extend the lead to 26-20.

Previously in the game, he hit three other crucial field goals of lengths of 50, 38, and 28. 2/2 from 50+ and 2/2 on extra points is quite an impressive day. On the season, Slye is 28-34 on field goals and 25-26 on extra points
