The Detroit Lions are in a pretty great spot as an organization right now.

After years of struggling, the Lions have established themselves as real contenders for their first Super Bowl in franchise history.
Their talented roster produced one of the best offenses in NFL history last season and won 15 regular season games despite a ton of injuries.
However, the organization isn’t just ready to compete right now. They are also built to be among the league’s best teams for years to come as they are loaded with young talent.

They have so much young talent on the roster that Pro Football Focus’ Jonathon Macri recently ranked five of their players in a list of the NFL’s top 25 players under 25 years old.

Right tackle Penei Sewell took the top spot on the list while safety Brian Branch and running back Jahmyr Gibbs both joined him in the top 10 at eighth and 10th respectively.
Tight end Sam LaPorta took the 23rd spot on the list and Kerby Joseph was the second Lions safety on the list in the 25th spot.
The Houston Texans, Atlanta Falcons, Los Angeles Rams, and Philadelphia Eagles were the only other teams with multiple players on the list, while the Texans were the only other team with more than two.
The Lions also have some other important young pieces that didn’t make this list.
Jameson Williams topped 1000 receiving yards last season and is just 24. Terrion Arnold recently turned 22 and is expected to be one of the team’s starting corners in 2025.

Jack Campbell barely missed the cutoff as he’ll turn 25 just a couple of weeks before the start of the season.
Aidan Hutchinson also doesn’t turn 25 until August.
Throw in a class of rookies the Lions will have high hopes for and you have a roster that should be very good for a long time.
