The Falcons defeated the Saints 24-10 earlier this year in Week 12 down in New Orleans. Quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 16 of his 23 passes for 199 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Wide receiver Darnell Mooney led the Falcons’ pass-catchers with three receptions for 74 yards, and running back Bijan Robinson led on the ground with 14 carries for 70 yards. Cornerback Dee Alford posted a team-high 10 tackles, with a pass breakup and fumble recovery.
Both teams have been eliminated from the playoffs, so next Sunday’s game will mark the end of their respective seasons. The Falcons are 6-9 entering Monday night’s game against the Rams, while the Saints sit at 6-10 and are riding a four-game win streak.
Raheem Morris is wrapping up his second season as the head coach of the Falcons. Kellen Moore is finishing his first with the Saints.
