KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The opening injury report for the Kansas City Chiefs ahead of their regular season finale included several players with illnesses and a few others who got extra rest.
Running back Kareem Hunt and wide receiver Xavier Worthy did not practice Wednesday due to illness, the Chiefs said.
Pro Bowl right guard Trey Smith also did not practice due to an ankle injury. He’s dealt with high and low ankle sprains throughout the 2025 season.
Defensive end George Karlaftis and running back Isiah Pacheco were each limited participants in practice with rest listed as the reasoning.
Offensive tackle Jaylon Moore also was limited as he continues to deal with a knee injury.
The Chiefs, without several of their starters, lost to the Broncos 20-13 on Christmas night in their home finale. Now, they go on the road Sunday for the final team of the season against a Las Vegas Raiders team that is vying for the No. 1 overall draft selection in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Kansas City could pick as high as 8th in the 2026 draft if they lost Sunday and also got a win from the New Orleans Saints.
