Los Angeles Chargers vs Denver Broncos - Week 18 Preview & PredictionLos Angeles Chargers vs Denver Broncos – Week 18 Preview & Prediction

Bo Nix, Courtland Sutton, Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos take on Justin Herbert, Jim Harbaugh and the Los Angeles Chargers. With a win the Broncos clinch the number 1 seed in the AFC and a first round bye.

The Broncos won the AFC West this past week with their win over the Chiefs on Christmas. The JK Dobbins injury taking two more great backs off the field who have had a ton of success this year. The Broncos offense has elite receiving threats, the emergence of the former Oregon Duck and 4th round pick Troy Franklin in his second year has opened up the passing attack and makes this one of the more fascinating matchups with no true “superstars” on either offense but a lot of up and coming fresh talent starting to make names for themselves.

Quentin Johnston at times and Ladd McConkey, Keenan Allen, make up a receiving core as deep as the Broncos, the rookie running back Omarion Hampton who has been a bolt of energy to the Chargers running game after he returned from injury. The Broncos defense has been historically good getting after the quarterback with Nik Bonitto and Jonathan Cooper, John Franklin-Myers Herbert missing his two starting tackles for a large part of the season with the Joe Alt injury and the Rashawn Slater injury, this will be another tough test for this Chargers offense.

Defensively the Chargers have a top 5 defensive unit led by Khalil Mack and Tuli Tuipolotu up front and still one of the best defensive backs in the league, Derwin James Jr making plays at the line of scrimmage and all around the field. Jessie Minter will have his hands full with the challenges. The Broncos defense is every bit as good with Pat Surtain and Riley Moss, Talanoa Hufanga in the secondary.

This will be a great game with divisional and seeding implications for the Playoffs, enjoy this Blitz With Blinder Video hosted by Josh Blinder.
